Kind Intervention
There are very few people in the world with the emotional depth and psychological insight as David. His ability to tap into the human psyche and provide people with the tools they need to have a better understanding of life and themselves. He offers a priceless gift for any growth-minded person.
I have heard about his upcoming retreat and can only imagine that it will be a fantastic investment of time for anyone who wants to be the best that they can be.

“We are deeply indebted for the profound wisdom, non-judgmental support, and sense of community facilitated through the brilliance of David Kaufman. During the course of the evening, he weaves the experiences of recovered and recovering addicts and their families who share personal stories giving tools to cope with the many stages of the journey of addiction. It is raw and honest, heart-wrenching and heartwarming.
We leave each session with new insight that we can apply immediately into our lives with new strategies, empathy, and hope for ourselves and our addicted loved ones. There is no reason to walk this path alone. We urge anyone dealing with addiction in their family to reach out. “

Thank you so much for sharing “The Letter,” with me. I read it over a couple of times yesterday and it is quite powerful. I can see how working towards clear, stronger boundaries is one of the major keys to change.
"David Kaufman has been instrumental in supporting my partner, helping us navigate challenging times with his honest, sensitive guidance and education. David has become a mentor to us and we owe our success in large part to his patience and commitment to our journey. "
"David is truly gifted in his ‘what you need to hear’ communication skills. He calls it as it is and doesn’t allow for ‘excuses’ or ‘blame’...just ‘results’. The ‘group meetings’ on Thursday evening facilitated by both David and Cori have been so valuable as a parent of an ‘addict’..."

Dear David
I just must thank you and all associated with Jacs ! After doing drugs for over 42 years I had had enough and desperately wanted to stop !!! could not do it alone I needed help and was ready to do anything!! My first meeting was the Thursday night " here to help " meeting for families of addicts and alcoholics I wanted to get in touch with the collateral damage that my addiction inflicted on my loved ones !! the best decision of my life I cried and cried and felt so very guilty but after attending several Thursday night meetings as well as Sunday afternoon men’s meetings my recovery began !! I started to believe in myself and the more confidence I got the better my life became!
Now 3 years clean I still attend meetings at Jacs and I have gotten a new career teaching my chosen trade to 18-20-year-old young adults and helping them make healthy choices on which direction they take their lives! I am in a healthy relationship with a wonderful Lady and her two Daughters I am a functioning member of a very healthy family! By helping this one addict get his life together I would think well over 100 people have been positively affected! for the first time in my 55-year life, I m absolutely glowing and it isn't a drug-induced glow!
If I would have known that recovery is this good I would have done it a long time ago
Support Groups
We are truly touched by the thoughtful and humble and incredibly brilliant way you facilitate Thursday evenings. It’s a skill that you’ve really mastered with sensitivity, grace and wisdom. For example, last night, you invited Johnny to share his “one day at a time” experience, in the hopes of helping a new participant who was exhibiting frenetic behaviour when sharing for the first time. We are truly in awe of your impeccable timing, as well as your insightful and gentle intervention!!!
You find a way to help people to express themselves without shame or guilt. It is truly inspiring.
We also want to express our gratitude to Cori and Les, who enhance your message without ego, adding just the right amount of additional support and insight. All three of you exhibit the perfect combination of assertiveness and tenderness.
Please let us know if there is any other way that we can support you in supporting others. We are happy to reword the messaging below as you see fit.

Mindfulness. Spirituality. Connectedness.
These three concepts - gifted to me by the leaders and fellowship at JACS - have provided me the foundation to recovery I so desperately needed when I first walked through the front door of this incredibly supportive institution. With these gifts - along with the support I’ve received from my JACS recovery friends and sponsor - I have acquired a personalized set of recovery tools I can utilize when I find myself affected and/or triggered by the people, places and things that surround me daily. I am forever grateful to JACS and will forever “keep coming back”!
